Let’s talk about recruitment. In a matter of a month, countless young women, possibly including you, will be flocking greek houses across the country to get a peak into one of the greatest adventures college has to offer. Before you slip on your Tory’s and Lilly, I want to help prepare you for what will be one of the most hectic, rewarding weeks of your young life. Will it be the best week of your life? Probably not. Will it be the easiest week of your life? Yeah, not even close. Will you come out having learned a great deal about yourself and your future sisters? Absolutely.
There are hundreds of quotes that I could think of that illustrate recruitment much more eloquently than anything you will find in this blog post, but the bottom line is that this week is going to be hard and its going to be worth it.
Over the next month I will be posting a series called She Sets the Standard, that details everything you could want to know about Panhellenic recruitment. “She Sets the Standard” is a phrase which greek women strive to uphold. She does set the standard, in the classroom, within her community, and among her peers. She’s kind, genuine, a leader, and passionate about making a positive impact on the world. She could very easily be you.
Going through panhellenic recruitment was the best choice I ever made. I am able to serve, to learn, and to lead within a community that fosters and upholds the morals that define who I am. A sorority a place to have fun, a place to grow, and a home. I can’t wait to share with you the bits of wisdom that I have gained through this process, so that you go into your recruitment experience feeling as confident with your decisions as possible!
I’m not going to overwhelm you with information (yet), but keep checking back as I show you how She would prepare for the wirlwind adventure that is recruitment!
