This week I started Kayla Itsines Beach Body Guide and I am so excited to try out new recipes to go with my new workouts! I searched high and low on Pinterest for a perfect acai bowl recipe and combined many different recipes to create this! I wanted something with lots of flavor and texture. Food should never be boring even when you’re trying to eat healthy.
Acai bowls are amazing sources of antioxidants, healthy fats, and fiber. Sounds boring right? I thought so too but I went out on a limb, searched my grocery store for the allusive berry mix, and experimented. Acai bowls taste like candy and look like sorbet. It’s the perfect breakfast alternative to all your favorite sweet cereals and it will keep you fuller longer too!
I loved the way that this recipe turned out and I have enough left over to drink as a smoothie after a hard work out! You can edit and add fruits to your taste but make sure to avoid ingredients with high added sugar. Be sure to take my shopping list and recipe to the store with you so you don’t forget a thing!
