It’s a Siesta Fiesta! Every year my family gets together for a reunion filled with sun, sand, and quality time. We plop down under an umbrella and don’t move for a week. Yes, it’s wonderful and no I didn’t get a tan. What’s new?
Charming. Honestly is there a better word for a place so bright and happy?! I love exploring new areas and never being more than a mile from a beach. Siesta is a getaway that makes you feel a thousand miles away from the real world.
A hot pink beach bungalow because where else is a better retreat after a day in the sun? The preppiest of houses for this preppy gal! I highly suggest finding unique places to stay when on vacation. Don’t underestimate the time you spend in your room even when there are plenty of places to explore. Sometimes you need some quiet time and this is the perfect place to grab a book and relax.
I am a sucker for sprinkles… and sweets… and donuts. It’s a beautiful, beautiful problem to have. We found a Mini Donut shack that could satisfy the sweetest of sweet tooths.
Why not be a tourist and take a picture with a giant lobster?
Low quality picture, high quality memories. The annual sailboat race in Siesta Key goes right by our condo. It’s absolutely beautiful and makes me dream of a day when I have my own sailboat.
The preppy pink palace in all her glory. I spent a good hour ducking in and out of the dressing room. You’re never too old for dress up!
I always finish off the beach days with a trip to the Siesta Key Oyster Bar. Family vacations would be nothing without a couple dozen oysters and some good music.
I hope that y’all are finding some summer inspiration, whether you’re somewhere covered in sand or escaping the heat inside.
