Y’all, I have a confession… I am an awesome event planner. I spent three months planning the perfect Disney vacation and I can honestly say that it was one of the best weekends of my life! This year my mom turned 25 (*cough* 60) and to celebrate I surprised her with a weekend at Disney; I know, I am a great daughter. We haven’t been since I was tiny and given that she’s the biggest kid I know, I figured there was nothing more perfect. Luckily, she loved it as much as I did. She popped her birthday button on and took off into the park like it was her first time. She told me it was one of the best birthday weekends of her life so I think we can dub this one a success. Months of planning paid off and I’m so excited to share with y’all some of my favorite moments from my mama’s birthday weekend!
We began our trip by going to Downtown Disney for shopping, dinner, and Cirque du Soleil. Look how cute my little family is!
I booked us a reservation at Fulton’s and it was absolutely delicious. Plus look at that sky!
The next morning we had reservations at the Crystal Palace where you can eat with the characters from Winnie the Pooh! This was by far my favorite part of the day and I was very happy with our view from our table.
I fangirled (is that a verb?) bad when meeting these two… All my childhood dreams came true that day!
I don’t know what it is about Disney and sorority girls but I couldn’t leave without this picture 😉
I will give Disney so much credit for how beautiful they made their Christmas celebration. I was in awe of everything; the snow, the lights, and the castle honestly took my breath away.
Our night ended with a parade and fireworks at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and as you can see, it was incredible!
Everything about this trip was perfect. I don’t know if it was good planning, luck with the crowds, or just Disney always being amazing but I feel so blessed to have been able to experience this weekend! If y’all get a chance to go, take it. I promise it will be something magical!
I’m thinking about posting a whole guide on how to plan different events so stay tuned to see when it’s up!
