One // Bus Rider App
Most campuses utilize huge networks of bus routes! I had never ridden a bus anywhere as a freshman, but the first time I was late for class, that changed. I quickly downloaded our bus rider app and hopped on the next bus. If you are on a big campus or a campus that’s spread out, you definitely need this app.
Two // Tap Shield App
College is a scary place but the Tap Shield App makes you feel a little more in control. The app allows you to communicate your location with police and have direct access to emergency response teams should anything happen!
Three // CamScanner
You will be so surprised by how often you need to use a scanner in college. Unless you’re in the market for a new printer, scanner, and copier then this is the best option for you! Once you download the app you can simply take pictures which are then converted in PDF files for you to send!
Four // Venmo
Just do it! Venmo has become the best way for you to split checks, pay electric, and ensure that your fiends will actually pay you back. It’s a college girl’s best friend and it’s safe!
Five // Banking App
In order to make sure you’re staying on budget you have to download a personal banking app! You can easily transfer money to savings, make deposits, and check your balance. It’s not something you necessarily think about until you really need it but you’ll be so thankful when it’s there.
Six // Starbucks App
You’re going to need coffee and this app makes it so much easier. I typically load $20 onto the app and limit myself to that much coffee a month. It’s a great way to budget and limit your caffeine intake.
Seven // Uber
Check to see if your campus utilizes Uber! My campus partnered with Uber to bring discounted rates and services to students. This is an awesome tool for nighttime transportation when your night out seems a little too far to manage.
I’d Love to know:
What apps can you not live without??
